Marcel Ziul is a Creative Director and founder of STATE.
Growing up in the suburbs of Sao Paulo, Ziul moved to the US in 2007 after working with the top studios in Brazil.
He worked at some awesome and not-so-awesome studios throughout his career, and at some point noticed he had never found a place where he felt 100% comfortable doing things the way he believed they should be. That was one of the drivers that led him to create a studio where things can be different, supporting diversity, nurturing new talents, and developing a distinctive aesthetic.
He is also the co-founder of R&D Los Angeles, a monthly conference that embraces the motion design community on the West Coast.
